didgiraffedoo

Definitely bring your costumes and musical instruments!

Necessities

  • It's winter! Warm Clothes and Lots of Layers (ie. hats, socks, sweaters, tights, leg warmers, long johns, extra pairs of shoes, gloves, wool/fleece is warm, cotton is cold)
  • Bedding and Your Favourite Pillow (bunk beds have vinyl-covered mattresses)
  • Toiletries & Towels
  • Flashlight/headlamp (particularly for getting to and from Squeah lodge and the cabins in the dark)
  • Raingear
  • Pj's/Onesies
  • Slippers
  • Ear Plugs! even if you don't use these for the music, you may want them for sleeping (even in the quiet lodge)
  • Picture identification ready to show at the gate

Highly Recommended

  • Extra coosh & bedding for your bed
  • Decor & furnishings for your cabin
  • Snacks or food items you would miss otherwise. We're not serving meat. We've reduced our meals to Brunch, Dinner and a Snack to keep cost down. So bring extra food just in case. Plus it's nice to share. There is only one small fridge available to us in Squeah Lodge, so if you need refrigeration, we suggest that you bring a cooler and leave it in your car. It's winter, you won't need ice for that cooler.  No other cooking appliances allowed.  Hot water for tea, etc. will be available in Squeah Lodge.
  • Costumes
  • Travel mug
  • Water bottle
  • Extra fabric to screen off your bunk (Using painters tape is best but Squeah has not prohibited us from using push pins)
  • Musical instruments
  • Yoga Mat
  • Journal
  • Slip-on Footwear is super handy since many buildings are shoes-off areas
  • Cash for the ARTISAN MARKET

Our Artisan Market will have artisans bringing one-of-a-kind pieces and handcrafted goodies for your purchase. So bring some CASH to spend on these wonderful creations and support a member of the community!!! Prices vary so please be prepared as there won't be a bank machine on site.

Sometimes it's those extra little touches that make all the difference...

  • Tea and Coffee (Due to budget restraints we are providing limited amounts. Please bring your favorite, with extra to share. There will be hot water available.)
  • Craft supplies, e.g. fabric, paintbrushes, paints, crayons, paper, beads, feathers, crepe paper, glue gun w/glue, scissors. Squeah has a dedicated crafting room where you can craft and create to your heart's desire
  • Rugs, Couches, Pillows, Giant Stuffies, Foamies, Air Mattresses, Blankets and Throws - Share the coosh!! We are especially in need of these items as we lost a lot of our coosh due to a recent unfortunate storage failure. Please contact transport[at]intentiongathering[dot]org if you need us to bring it up for you in the truck. Donations possible accepted.  Please don't donate/abandon your coosh "to Intention" without checking in first!
  • Wall-hangings and decor -  especially pertaining to the theme of Den of Dreams
  • Lamps & Lighting, LED/christmas lights, LED candles
  • Board games, Cards

What to Leave Behind!!!

  • Candles - wax leaves messes that cost us extra for cleanup and of course there's the safety issue. LED candles are great!
  • Incense and Perfumed Body Products- seriously, no smoke, scents, or vapours please! This is the number one piece of feedback we get from the camp EVERY year. Many of us have sensory processing challenges and allergies that make smoke and scents more than just unpleasant.
**** Note: We have one person attending who has a severe allergy, like an "get the epi-pen out!" allergy, to patchouli. therefore, NO PATCHOULI please and thanks! ****
  • Cooking appliances - There is a microwave for re-heating food, but no cooking is allowed at the camp. There is campfire ring so bring a marshmallow roasting stick and marshmallows.
  • Dogs and other companion animals, unless they are actually a "service animal" (talk to info[at]intentiongathering[dot]org for clarification).  Unfortunately, animals--especially dogs--do not always mix well with a large crowd of strange people of all ages. And the camp does not allow them. Arrange your pet sitters now people. Woof! Meow! Purr!
  • ABSOLUTELY NO NUTS ANYWHERE IN THE CAMP!  This is essential to our contract with the camp and the safety of children who will be using the facilities in the future.
  • Drugs & Alcohol - This is a no drug and alcohol venue.

And last, but definitely *not* least, bring your love, cuddles, and urge to dance, express yourself and participate!
