Intention is a five day, four night transformational festival at the most intentional time of year.

Intention is participant-driven and organized entirely by volunteers who are members of the community. Performers and organizers are not paid, and all participants share their labour and talent out of love for the community. We still need individuals to step into certain minor organizing roles. Bring your curiosity and join us as we create something truly special.

Children 5 and under attend for free (but must be registered)

24 hour NYE tickets $75 - SOLD OUT!!

Registration will be open until December 13th, with transfers available for one week after that.

*Low income subsidies*

Every year, for participants who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend, we also provide an option to apply for a subsidy. You can ask for whatever you need (we recommend a max of up to $100). This subsidy is based on an honour system, and we ask that only those people who cannot afford the full price request a subsidy.

You will need to initially pay the full ticket price, and we will inform you by email on Dec 15th of the amount of subsidy that you'll receive (after registration closes, but while you can still transfer your ticket). This year our fundraising efforts have been pretty successful, so while there are no guarantees we hope to be able to meet all requests for subsidies.

We would all much rather have you attend than not have you attend, so if you need the subsidy, please don't hesitate to make use of it! That's what it's there for!

It’ll be chaos... fun chaos! This is Intention’s 19th year of connection and community, and of making a culture that makes it possible to shake things up among friends and loved ones. It’s the eye of the storm, a loving place to explore the craziness of life. We want you to come on this adventure with us.

There will be dance parties ALL FOUR NIGHTS!

Intention is an opportunity for individuals to share skills, magic and love with the community. This year, we hope to have many talented folks stepping up to offer their gifts at the gathering in the form of workshops. Every attendee at Intention is invited to give a workshop, on whatever topic they desire. PASSION SHOWS

One of the most fun, memorable, and unique experiences at Intention are the Passion Shows!

This is your chance to share your passions with a community of supportive and encouraging witnesses! Share a song? A dance? A theatre performance? Some comedy? We love it all!

There are two shows, one that is kid-friendly... and the later XXX show, where anything goes!

TRIBAL MARKET

Our Tribal Market plans to be bustling with unique vendors this year. These artisans will be bringing one of a kind pieces, handcrafted goodies, feathery goodness and costume pieces galore for your purchase. You’re sure to find a thing or two to compliment your costumes, fill your tummy or soothe your skin. So plan on bringing SOME CASH to spend on these wonderful creations!

DECOR & ART INSTALLATIONS

Art & decor are at the very core of every festival. They create a fun landscape or visual candy for us to explore and appreciate. If you have the desire to share your art with the community, please contact decor[at]intentiongathering[dot]org.

BRING YOUR SACRED ITEMS to add to the various altars which will be created throughout the event space.

RITUAL

As well, we will have an opening and closing ritual (with optional participation). If you are interested in contributing to this, or being a part of the Ritual Pod, or just looking for more information contact ritual[at]intentiongathering[dot]org .

CO-CREATION

As part of our event co-creation, we are asking all participants to sign up for a shift to complete their registration. This may include welcoming people at the gate, helping with decor, cooking for your friends in the kitchen, being a calm presence at peer support, facilitating a game in the Kids' zone or helping to make sure we leave the venue as beautiful as it was when we arrived. You can choose which parts of the event you are stoked to support.

Intention is co-creative and participant-driven. We share our personal gifts and learn from the community. It is an opportunity to work together with old friends and new faces to create a safe container for a rich exploration of music, art, self-expression and creativity.
