Elphinstone winter water scene

This year Winter Intention will be returning to Camp Elphinstone on the gorgeous Sunshine Coast!

The camp has beautiful new lodges, a large hall/gymnasium that we use for our dance floor and a workshop area and other new buildings that are also used for workshops.  You can see some photos below and on their website:  https://gv.ymca.ca/Locations/Sechelt/Gibsons/YMCA-Camp-Elphinstone/Photo...

Please see the Getting There page for transportation options.  http://www.intentiongathering.org/winter_19/getting_there

The camp provides a full dining hall with all meals catered and simple kitchen facilities in the cabins. All meals are included in your ticket price.  Meal times and program will be posted at the camp. Like last year, a selection of breakfast cereal will be available in the early mornings to parents with small children.   Please bring any snacks or special items you would miss otherwise.  These should be kept in the kitchens in the lodges.

All lodges are heated and have regular electric outlets. Bunk beds with single width, vinyl-covered mattresses are provided so bring bedding or sleeping bags and pillows. Feel free to bring extra fabric to screen off your bunk, or anything else you'd like to decorate the shared space with. You can only use painters' tape to attach items to the walls, ceilings and other surfaces!  (No tacks, push-pins or poster tack!)

We reserve one lodge for families and one as a quiet lodge.

Accessibility:  All buildings at Elphinstone are accessible to wheelchairs, and to people with other mobility challenges.  The buildings we use are fairly close together except the dining hall, which is about a 5-minute walk down the road.  The camp staff can shuttle people to the dining hall upon request.  All lodges contain accessible washrooms and showers.

This event takes place on the traditional, unceded and illegally occupied territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Nation. We always strive to leave no trace, to protect the land where we gather and to invite awareness of the history of this land.
