Winter Intention is a long standing winter festival put on by Intention Gathering. This is a five day, four night event where a village of all ages convenes to celebrate, share, workshop, perform, dance, play, heal, connect, share meals, and have fun. Intention has been evolving and changing over 18 years. It is a time and space for being authentically ourselves in a dynamic, loving and inspirational community setting. Intention incorporates dancing, parties, kids play space, workshops, rituals, tribal market, yoga, art, and DIY culture. Intention aims to be a warm, wonderful and special event that many return to every year to re-create a transformational container, one that continues to weave a vibrant community together every event. It's going to be awesome!
::MUSIC::
Intention will feature a wide variety of electronic music acts and DJs from across BC, and spanning many different genres. The dancing will go on into the wee hours of the morning.
::CO-CREATION::
Working and creating together form our community bonds. We get to know each other, create memories and connect to the event and the community in a way that wouldn't be possible at an event where everything is provided.
It is very important that everyone sign up for and work a shift. Intention is community driven, and based on the principle of co-creation. Everyone who is interested in getting involved with organizing is welcome to do so, and everyone is at least expected to contribute some time at the event to making the gathering happen. In this way, we all work together to make Intention happen, and the end result is a more fulfilling, magical experience.

::WORKSHOPS::
Intention is an opportunity for individuals to share skills, magic and love with the community. This year, we expect to have many talented folks stepping up to offer their gifts at the gathering in the form of workshops.
::MEALS::
We co-ordinate with Camp Elphinstone to plan three nutritious meals per day, which are included in the ticket price. We value eating in each others' company, like one big family. ::DECOR and ART INSTALLATIONS::
Art & decor are at the very core of every festival. They create a fun landscape and visual candy for us to explore and appreciate. If you have the desire to share your art with the community, please contact decor[at]intentiongathering.org[dot] BRING YOUR SACRED ITEMS to add to the various altars which will be created throughout the event space.
::RITUAL and OPENING/CLOSING CIRCLES::
